RUET Admission Circular 2025-2026
The RUET Admission Circular 2025-2026 has been released. The application process is fully online through the official website, admission.ruet.ac.bd.
RUET offers admission in two groups:
- KA Group: Engineering and Urban & Regional Planning departments.
- KHA Group: Engineering, Urban & Regional Planning, and Architecture departments.
For the 2025-2026 session, there are approximately 1,235 seats available across various departments, including reserved seats. As RUET is conducting an independent exam this year, candidates will face a highly competitive selection process where a specific number of applicants (approximately 19,000) will be shortlisted to sit for the admission test based on their HSC results.
Who Can Apply?
To apply for RUET Admission 2025-2026, candidates must meet specific academic criteria.
- Nationality: Must be a Bangladeshi citizen.
- SSC or Equivalent: Passed in 2022 or 2023 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 (out of 5.00).
- HSC or Equivalent: Passed in 2025.
- Candidates must have a minimum Grade Point of 4.00 in each of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
- Total Grade Requirement: The combined Grade Point for three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) must be at least 14.00 (out of 15.00).
- For GCE Candidates:
- O-Level: Passed with a minimum ‘B’ grade in at least five subjects (including Math, Physics, Chemistry, and English).
- A-Level: Passed with a minimum ‘B’ grade separately in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The certificate must be from November 2024 or later.
How to Apply?
The application process for RUET Admission 2025-2026 is fully online. Follow these steps to apply:
- Go to admission.ruet.ac.bd.
- Click on the “Apply Now” button.
- Enter your HSC and SSC roll numbers, registration numbers, and passing years to verify eligibility.
- Fill in the required personal information, including your mobile number and email address.
- Upload a recent passport-sized color photograph and your signature according to the specified format.
- Select your desired group (KA or KHA).
- Pay the Application Fee:
- KA Group: Approx. 1,300 BDT
- KHA Group: Approx. 1,500 BDT
- Payment can be made via Mobile Banking (Rocket, bKash, etc.) or Online Banking as instructed on the website.
- Submit the application and download the “Application Receipt” for future reference.

Eligible List
RUET does not allow all applicants to sit for the written test. After the application deadline, the university will review applications and publish a List of Eligible Candidates on January 03, 2026.
- Selection is based on the total Grade Points obtained in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English in the HSC exam.
- Approximately 19,000 top candidates will be shortlisted to sit for the Admission Test.
Admit Card Download
Only shortlisted eligible candidates can download the admit card.
- Download Start Date: January 10, 2026.
- Procedure: Log in to admission.ruet.ac.bd using your Application ID and Password to download and print the admit card.
- Requirement: You must print the admit card in color on A4 size paper. No candidate will be allowed into the exam hall without it.
RUET Admission Test 2025-2026
The admission test will be held on January 22, 2026. It is a single-day written examination.
Marks Distribution
KA Group (Total 400 Marks):
- Physics: 20 Questions × 6 Marks = 120 Marks
- Chemistry: 20 Questions × 6 Marks = 120 Marks
- Mathematics: 20 Questions × 6 Marks = 120 Marks
- English: 20 Questions × 2 Marks = 40 Marks
- Exam Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
KHA Group (Total 600 Marks):
- Part A: Same as KA Group (400 Marks).
- Part B (Architecture): Free-hand Drawing and Visual Spatial Intelligence (2 Questions × 100 Marks = 200 Marks).
- Part B Duration: 1 Hour (12:15 PM – 01:15 PM)
Note: There is negative marking. 25% of the allocated marks for a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Admission Result
The final merit list is expected to be published on February 06, 2026. The result will be available on the official website. The merit list is prepared strictly based on the marks obtained in the admission test.

After the result publication, candidates on the merit list must fill out their Subject Choice Form online.
