Re-scrutiny Application
Sometimes, students feel their HSC Result 2026 is not correct. They might suspect errors in counting marks. For this, there is a process called “Board Challenge” or “Re-scrutiny”.
This system allows students to apply to have their answer scripts re-checked for any mistakes in totaling marks or if any answer was left unmarked. It is important to know that the answers are not re-evaluated.
The Education Boards publish a notice about the re-scrutiny process right after the results are out. This notice contains the application dates, fees per subject, and instructions.
Usually, applications are made via SMS using a Teletalk mobile number. The specific format and codes are given in the notice. A fee is charged for each subject applied for.
After the application period ends, the boards check the scripts. The Re-scrutiny results are published later on the respective education board websites. If any change occurs in the result, it is updated.
