Dhaka University (DU) is a top-ranked Public University in Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest universities in the country. Every year, thousands of students dream of studying here. The admission process for the DU Admission 2025-2026 session has started. The main exams are now finished.
This blog post explains everything about the admission process. We will look at application steps, exam dates, eligibility, and how to check your result.
DU Admission Circular 2025-26
The DU Admission 2025-2026 circular is already published. The online application started on October 29, 2025. It ended on November 19, 2025.
Students applied online through the official website: admission.eis.du.ac.bd. You must use this website for all activities. This includes downloading admit cards, checking seat plans, and viewing results.
Eligibility for Application
To apply, students must meet specific criteria. For the 2025-26 session, you must pass the HSC exam in 2025. You must pass the SSC exam between 2020 and 2023.
If you passed HSC before 2025, you are generally not eligible. This is often called “Second Time” admission. It is usually not allowed for regular undergraduate courses.
Students apply to different Units. This depends on their background in Science, Arts, or Business Studies. Below are the details for each Unit.
Eligibility for Science Unit (A Unit)
- Background: Must pass SSC and HSC from the Science group.
- GPA Requirement: Total GPA of 8.00 (SSC + HSC).
- Individual GPA: Must have at least 3.50 in both exams (including the 4th subject).
- Required Subjects: Must pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in HSC.
For O-Level and A-Level Students:
- O-Level: Must have a ‘B’ grade in at least 5 subjects. This must include English, Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- A-Level: Must have a ‘B’ grade in 2 subjects. Must have a ‘C’ in 1 subject. Subjects must be Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Eligibility for Arts, Law, and Social Sciences Unit (B Unit)
- GPA Requirement: Total GPA of 7.50 (SSC + HSC).
- Individual GPA: Must have at least 3.00 in both exams (including the 4th subject).
- Background: Students from Arts, Social Sciences, Business Studies, or Science can apply here.
For O-Level and A-Level Students:
- O-Level: Must have a ‘B’ grade in at least 5 subjects.
- A-Level: Must have a ‘B’ grade in 2 subjects and a ‘C’ grade in 1 subject.
Eligibility for Business Studies Unit (C Unit)
- GPA Requirement: Total GPA of 7.50 (SSC + HSC).
- Individual GPA: Must have at least 3.00 in both exams.
- Required Subjects: Must pass Accounting, Business Organization/Entrepreneurship, Economics, and Math/Statistics in HSC.
For O-Level and A-Level Students:
- O-Level: Must have a ‘B’ grade in at least 5 subjects.
- A-Level: Must have a ‘B’ grade in 2 subjects and a ‘C’ grade in 1 subject.
Eligibility for Fine Arts Unit (F Unit)
- GPA Requirement: Total GPA of 6.50 (SSC + HSC).
- Individual GPA: Must have at least 3.00 in any individual exam.
Application Procedure
The application for DU Admission 2025-2026 is 100% online. The application period is now closed. However, here is how the process worked:
- Visit Website: Go to admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
- Login: Log in with your HSC Roll, Board, Year, and SSC Roll.
- Fill Information: Give your personal details. Upload your photo and signature.
- Select Unit: Choose A Unit, B Unit, C Unit, or F Unit.
- Select Center: Choose your preferred Division City for the exam.
- Payment: Pay the fee of Tk. 1,050. You can use bKash, Rocket, Nagad, or Bank Cards.
DU Admission Test Dates
The exams for the 2025-26 session are finished. They were held on these dates:
- IBA Unit: Friday, November 28, 2025
- Fine Arts (F Unit): Saturday, November 29, 2025
- Business Studies (C Unit): Saturday, December 6, 2025
- Arts & Social Sciences (B Unit): Saturday, December 13, 2025
- Science (A Unit): Saturday, December 27, 2025
DU Admit Card
Students had to download the Admit Card before the exam. This was mandatory.
- Go to Website: Visit admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
- Login: Use your HSC and SSC details.
- Download: Go to your Unit dashboard. Click “Download Admit Card”.
- Print: Print a clear color copy.
Note: You must bring the Admit Card and original HSC Registration Card to the exam hall.
Seat Plan
Dhaka University exams were held in Dhaka and 7 other divisional cities. This helped students take exams near their homes. The seat plan is published 24 to 48 hours before the exam.
- Online: Log in to the admission website. Click on “Seat Plan” to see your building and room.
- SMS: You can send an SMS. The format is on your Admit Card (e.g.,
DU <Unit> <Roll>to16321).
Marks Distribution
The total score for admission is 120 marks.
- GPA Score (20 Marks): SSC GPA × 2 + HSC GPA × 2.
- Exam Score (100 Marks): Written and MCQ test.
The exam time is 90 minutes. There are two parts. For every wrong MCQ answer, 0.25 marks are cut.

Admission Result
The DU Admission Result 2026 is the most awaited event now. The results will be published on the official website. We expect the results to come out sequentially starting in January 2026.
- Online Check: Log in to admission.eis.du.ac.bd. You can see your merit position and marks on the dashboard.
- SMS Check: You can also get results via SMS. Follow the instructions on your Admit Card.
Subject Choice
If you pass the test, you may get a merit position. If your position is good, you must fill out the “Subject Choice Form”.
The University will give a specific date for this. You must log in and rank your favorite departments. For example, if you want to study Physics, put it at the top.
Subject Choice Result
After you submit your choices, the University will allocate subjects. This depends on your Merit Position. This happens in steps called “migrations”.
Once you get a final subject, you must complete the admission steps. This confirms your seat at Dhaka University.
