MBBS Admission Circular 2025-26

Students can apply through the Directorate General of Medical Education Admission Portal (http://dgme.teletalk.com.bd). The admission test will be held on December 12, 2025.
Admission Test Date
The MBBS admission test 2025-26 will be held on December 12, 2025, which is a Friday. The exam will run from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM, having a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes. The exam centers will be various medical colleges across the country, the list of which is mentioned in the admission circular. Students must select the exam center at the time of application and participate in the admission test at the designated center. Application Qualification
Candidates willing to apply for MBBS courses in all medical colleges in Bangladesh must have the following qualifications:
- Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
- Educational Qualification:
- * Students wishing to participate in the admission test for the academic year 2025-2026 must have passed HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent in 2024 or 2025 and SSC/’O’ Level/equivalent in 2022 or 2023.
- Students who passed SSC/’O’ Level/equivalent before 2022 are not eligible to apply.
- Must have passed SSC/’O’ Level/equivalent examination in Science and HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent examination must include Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
- GPA:
- GPA in SSC/’O’ Level/equivalent and HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent examinations must be a total of at least 8.50.
- However, if the GPA in any single exam is less than 4.00 points, they will not be eligible to apply.
- For candidates from tribal and hilly areas (backward communities), the total GPA in SSC/’O’ Level/equivalent and HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent examinations must be at least 8.00. However, if the GPA in any exam is less than 3.50, they will not be eligible to apply.
- A minimum grade point of 3.50 in Biology in the HSC/’A’ Level/equivalent examination is required for all applicants.
Special Note: Besides the mentioned qualifications, other rules and conditions related to admission will be applicable. Applicants are requested to follow the latest admission circular published by the Directorate General of Health Services.
Application Form
The application process for the MBBS admission test is completely done online. Step-by-step instructions for the application process are given below:
- To start the application, go to the Admission website of the DGME (http://dgme.teletalk.com.bd).
- Go to the MBBS Admission 2025-2026 option.
- Fill out the application form with the necessary information.
- Upload photos ($300\times300$ pixel, max 100 kb) and signatures ($300\times80$ pixel) in the specified format and size.
- Provide your preference order for Medical Colleges.
- After correctly filling in the information, click the “Submit” button.
- The application fee of 1000/- (One Thousand) Taka has to be paid through a Teletalk prepaid number.

Admit Card Download
To download the admit card for the admission test, students will receive a user ID and password after paying the application fee. The admit card has to be downloaded using this ID and password. Admit cards can be downloaded from December 7, 2025, to December 9, 2025. Students will be informed about admit card download information via SMS. Step-by-step rules for downloading the admit card:

- Click on the “Admit Card” option.
- Login with user ID and password.
- Download and color print the admit card.
No student will be allowed to participate in the MBBS admission test without the admit card. Students must bring the original registration card of the HSC or equivalent examination along with the admit card. The admit card will mention detailed information about the exam date, time, center, and venue of the admission test. In addition, the student must follow all the instructions mentioned on the admit card. Therefore, after downloading the admit card, the instructions should be read carefully.
Number of Seats
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the total number of seats in 37 Government Medical Colleges for the MBBS course is 5100. For the BDS course, the total number of seats in 1 Dental College and 8 Medical College Dental Units is 545. 1% of the total seats are reserved for backward communities (tribal), with 25% of the seats in Rangamati Medical College included in this quota.
Marks Distribution
The admission test will be of 100 marks. The question paper will be in MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) format; each correct answer will carry 1 mark. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Those who get less than 40 marks in the written test will be considered failed. 3 marks will be deducted from the total marks of the students appearing in the admission test for the second time (HSC passed in 2024), and 5 marks will be deducted from the total marks of those already admitted to a government medical college or dental college/unit. The questions will mainly come from these subjects:
- Biology: 30 marks
- Chemistry: 25 marks
- Physics: 15 marks
- English: 15 marks
- General Knowledge, Tendency & Human Qualities: 15 marks
The merit list will be prepared based on the total of the written test marks and the GPA-based marks (SSC GPA x 8 + HSC GPA x 12).
Admission Result
The admission test results will be published a few days after the exam. To see the results, students can go to the website of the Directorate General of Health Services (www.dghs.gov.bd) and see the results with their admission test roll. Apart from this, a PDF of the merit list can be downloaded from the website of the Directorate General of Medical Education (www.dgme.gov.bd). Steps to see the result:
