Important Update: SUST will conduct its own separate admission test for the 2025-2026 session, operating outside the GST cluster system. The admission test is scheduled for January 2026.

SUST Admission Circular 2026
The SUST Admission Circular 2026 has been released. The application process will be conducted entirely through the official website: https://admission.sust.edu.bd.
Based on the official prospectus, SUST offers a total of 1,566 seats (985 in Unit A and 581 in Unit B) along with 77 reserved quota seats.

Who Can Apply?
SUST has specific eligibility criteria for applicants for the 2025-2026 session.
Passing Year:
- Must pass HSC/Equivalent in 2024 or 2025.
- Must pass SSC/Equivalent in 2022 or 2023.
- Second-time admission (Second Timers) is allowed.
Minimum GPA Requirements:
- For Unit A (Science Group): Must have a minimum Total GPA of 6.5 (with at least 3.0 in both SSC and HSC). Crucially, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in HSC Mathematics.
- For Unit B (Science, Humanities, Commerce): Must have a minimum Total GPA of 6.0 (with at least 3.0 in both SSC and HSC).
- For Diploma-in-Engineering Candidates: Must pass Diploma-in-Engineering and SSC/Equivalent (SSC passed in 2020 or 2021).
For GCE Candidates:
- IGCSE (O Level): Pass 5 subjects with at least B grade in 2 subjects.
- IAL (A Level): Pass 3 subjects with at least B grade in 1 subject.

How to Apply?
The application process is fully online.
- Visit: Go to https://admission.sust.edu.bd.
- Register: Click “Sign Up” and provide your HSC & SSC details (Roll, Board, Year) and Mobile Number.
- Credentials: You will receive a User ID and Password via SMS.
- Fill Form: Log in, upload a 300×400 pixel photo (max 100 KB), and fill in the required information.
- Select Unit: Choose Unit A, Unit B, or both.
- Payment: Pay the application fee via the instructed mobile financial services.
Application Fees:
- Unit A (General): 1,250 BDT
- Unit A (Architecture): 1,400 BDT
- Unit B: 1,200 BDT
Admit Card Download
The SUST Admit Card 2026 is mandatory for the admission test. It will be available for download 72 hours before the admission test date.

Seat Plan
The admission test will be held at the SUST campus in Sylhet, various institutions in Sylhet city, and selected centers in Dhaka. The detailed seat plan will be published on the website 72 hours before the exam.
Marks Distribution
The SUST admission test is an MCQ-based exam. The total marks are 80.
- Exam Mode: MCQ (Optical Mark Reader). Black ballpoint pen must be used.

- Commerce: Accounting, Business Principles & Management questions.
Admission Result & Merit List
The merit list is prepared based on a total of 100 marks:
- Admission Test Score: Out of 80.
- SSC & HSC GPA Score: Out of 20.
- For 2025 HSC graduates:
(SSC GPA + HSC GPA) × 2 - For 2024 HSC graduates:
(SSC GPA + HSC GPA) × 1.6.

Subject Choice & Final Admission
After the results, students on the merit list must complete the subject choice process online. Based on your merit position and subject choices, you will be allocated a department.
Selected students must appear in person for final admission, submitting original mark sheets (SSC & HSC) and paying admission fees.
